Hey guys! I am very thrilled to announce that I’m running a (currently funded) kickstarter campaign for the purpose of selling painted archival matte prints of Robot Mermaid and The Queen of Air and Darkness, a new black and white fractal work depicting Queen Morgause of Arthurian legend.
Here’s the kickstarter link: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/sandpaperdaisy/make-100-painted-art-prints-robot-mermaid-dark-que
As for this special Painted edition, this means I will be doing a limited run of archival matte 8×10 prints, and that this run will feature artist brushstokes in gold paint pen for Robot Mermaid, and silver paint pen for The Queen of Air and Darkness.
Below are individual shots of the two prints being offered. If you’d like a print or just want to make a small donation, come check out the page!
I’m also planning to do a kickstarter-themed article after the campaign’s over, to share what I learned!
Jon and I work great together and often find inspiration in each other’s art! Jon’s beautiful watercolors with their brilliant prismatic colors and playful subject matter (like “50 Shades of Greyhound,” pictured on the far left of our HARMONY flyer) go perfectly with my own bright digital paintings.
Plus, I just love working with this man!
Our art hangs at the Alhambra Theatre at Haynie’s Corner Arts District, Evansville IN thru June. We’ll also be displaying out front this June First Fridays, June 3rd 6pm-9pm. Come see us!
Hey guys, I’ve had the majestic Ergo Sum hanging at Toast for sometime now, but recently I added three new canvases. See if you spot them on your next visit! Trash Rose, A Message, and Endless Forest are all archivally printed, stretched and sealed by myself, with additional hand-drawn accents in white paint pen. They’re all 16×20 and only $85 each! Just ask your server or management if you want to take one home.
Here’s Toast’s website: http://www.toastevv.com/
They’re located at 1550 Mesker Park Dr, Evansville, IN 47720, inside the Helfrich Hills Golf Course.
It’s that time again!! I’ll be there with a ton of other awesome local artists. Come shop FINE ART for $50 and under (in my case, often WAY WAY under). We’ll be there from 10am to 4pm, outside at Angel Mounds State Historic Site!!

I’ve got a 36 piece solo show running at Wesselman Nature Center, Evansville IN through July 25! Here’s the event page. It’s full of tons of photos of the new art, but even those photos don’t touch the actual number of pieces I’ve got hanging. It is an immense show.
Come in and check out the nature and sci-fi/fantasy themed art, as well as lots of cool critters and beautiful nature trails and birdwatching!

Yep, someone at the largest money-saving blog in the world, The Penny Hoarder, actually agreed to let me open my big fat mouth to staff writer Lauren Tharp for an interview on ways to cut costs while making art. You might be familiar with all of these tricks or you might not, but believe me I picked my brain for every sneaky little way I could think of to save a few bucks. I’m blushing a little though, the article makes it sound like these are all my ideas and achievements. Actually, the credit goes to all of my artist buddies and acquaintances who’ve shared tips and organized great events over the years.

Hence the horrible 2 second sketch. My partner Cora Dean and I will be in the Artist Alley all weekend and this is probably what you will see if you come visit–us bent over our sketchpads. We’re usually kept insanely busy doing commissions all day and all night. (It might have something to do with the fact that I offer Quick n Dirty $5 Color Commissions, fulfilled by convention’s end.)
The Evillecon Anime Convention is at the Clarion Inn, 4101 Highway 41 North, Evansville, IN 47714, beginning 12pm on Friday March 28th and wrapping up late Sunday afternoon, March 30th. Below is the map of the convention area with our booth in the Artist Alley highlighted, and a closeup of just the Artist Alley.
Normal online activity should resume Monday March 31. Until then!
