Here’s the link to the online article: http://www.courierpress.com/news/2014/apr/16/arts-is-on-the-menu-for-the-franklin-street/
The newspaper is subscription-only and the article can’t be redistributed or published elsewhere, but I’ll quote a couple of portions drawn from the words I myself provided in interview:
Heather Landry, a member of The Arts Council of Doom and Arts Council of Southwestern Indiana, will have some pieces in the mashup art show.
“People should come and check things out,” she said. “There will be something for everyone all day. There’s so much going on and a lot of great art and wonderful artists and crafters to support.”
Some of Landry’s pieces include words (typo for “works”) mounted on wood from broken furniture, are made from broken and discarded electronics or used damaged prints that would have otherwise been thrown away.
“Franklin Street is a very vibrant and family-oriented community that provides a lot for the people in Evansville,” she said. “It’s exciting to see so many people coming together to create so many wonderful events.”
And here is my art as it appears in the sidebar of the article.
