“Twin solo shows” probably sounds a little weird, but basically I’ve got exhibitions running concurrently at The Dapper Pig and Blick Art Materials, both in Evansville, Indiana. They both run through June!

Each show is all 16×20 canvases, all $85 each which is WAY less than my canvases typically go for. So feel free to go take advantage of the sale! I think it’s something like 20 works in all, possibly more. (I hung the shows in a bit of a flurry.)

FROM THE STURM ARTIST STATEMENT: You’re seeing half of a double show I’m doing here & at Blick Arts for the month of June. The shows are “Sturm und Drang” (Storm and Stress) and this is the STURM part! I’ve had a rough year as a mom and a daughter, but I’m still hanging in there with the ones I love. This show is our victory.

STURM (STORM), hosted at The Dapper Pig, includes The Pretty Sun and Lunar Rainfall, two works centered around the idea of natural storms and destruction (world-ending in the case of The Pretty Sun).

Blick Art Materials hosts DRANG (STRESS), the more deeply personal half, and includes a portrait of my youngest son, who’s bravely facing some challenges, and 100 Keys, a scene from the recurring nightmare of a close friend of mine.
